Ice art in Millenium Park

February 6, 2008 · 1 Comment

Well, I’m not sure where else to add this bit, so I’m going to add it here.  There is a cool art exhibit going on at Millenium Park.   You can read about the artist and his work in this article from the Chicago Methods Reporter.

Here is a bit of coverage from the Museum of Modern Ice website, about the exhibit.  There are some great pictures of the behind the scenes work there, too.  Tony and I will have to make a trip to see it before it all melts away.  I wonder what it looks like today, with all of the snow?

Voting in the Illinois Primary

February 6, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I voted yesterday in the Illinois Primary. Did you? Actually, it was kind of funny. I was the first one there, and I was shaking the door so that it would be opened. :) I could see the election judges in the gymnasium, but they didn’t hear me knocking. Finally, however, I was able to vote.

Interestingly, and amusingly, some people had big problems voting yesterday. It seems that they were given the incorrect pens to vote with. Read more about the story.

That being said, how was your voting experience yesterday, if you voted in the Illinois primary?
