But it’s what *didn’t* happen that made me smile

It’s really easy to come up for reasons for smiling and laughing. Just off the top of my head, I can name one great thing…with each day, we are getting a few more minutes of daylight. Now that’s a good thing that I can smile about! How about this though. We don’t often think of things that we can smile about because they didn’t happen. Well, I’ve got one for you. I parked my car today right near an open street drain. When I opened my car door, there was the drain. Now sometimes, especially with gloves on in the winter, I fumble with my keys and sometimes I drop them on the ground. Can I tell you, I’m so glad that didn’t happen today? What a mess that would have been, had I dropped my keys down the street drain! Now that, my friends, is something to smile about. Have a nice day!
