The cardinals are here…it must be spring!

OK, maybe I’m jumping the gun, but Tony and I saw two beautiful male cardinals out and about yesterday. They were flitting about, and perhaps sparring over territory. Tony confirmed that there was indeed a nest in the tree they were flying about. How cool! We still have a few days left of February…dare I tempt fate and think that spring is on its way? Even if spring does take a little while to get here, we still had an awfully nice, hopeful sign of good times and good weather to come. That being said, it was a balmy 37 degrees yesterday! Holy cow, that makes me happy! I’m going to confidently go on record as saying “The Chicago area is done with snow for the winter of 2007/2008.” Think that’s true? Let’s take a vote!
